General and quotations
What types of properties do you work with?+
We work with corporate offices, commercial buildings, retail businesses, warehouses, hotels and hospitality sites, schools, small and medium businesses, and residential properties.
How do I request a quotation?+
Use the Get a Quote form, send a WhatsApp message to 070 627 6447, or call 070 627 6447. Please tell us the service you need, the location and a short description of the project.
What do you need to prepare a quotation?+
The type of service, the site location, the size of the area or number of devices, and any existing equipment. Photographs or a floor plan help. For larger projects we usually need a site survey first.
How long does it take to receive a quotation?+
It depends on the size and complexity of the project.
Site surveys
Do you carry out site surveys?+
Yes. For cabling, CCTV, Wi-Fi and meeting room projects we usually visit the site so the solution and quotation are accurate.
What happens during a site survey?+
We check the layout, cable routes, mounting positions, power and existing equipment, and discuss your requirements with you.
Network cabling
What is structured cabling?+
Structured cabling is an organised, labelled cabling system, with data points, patch panels and racks, that supports your computers, phones, Wi-Fi, cameras and other devices.
Which cable category should I choose: Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A?+
Cat6 is the usual choice for new business installations. Cat6A suits demanding or long-term requirements, and Cat5e can suit simple needs. We recommend the best fit after understanding your site.
Can you help with an existing network?+
Yes. We can troubleshoot, tidy racks and cabling, add data points or extend the network. Share the symptoms, the existing equipment and the layout, and we will advise on the next step.
Do you test and document the cabling?+
Yes, we test installed cabling and record what has been installed.
Fiber optic cabling
When do I need fiber instead of copper cable?+
Fiber is normally used for links between buildings or floors, longer distances and backbone connections. We can advise whether fiber or copper is suitable.
Do you terminate and splice fiber?+
Yes. We provide fiber termination, splicing, patch panels and distribution, and can help troubleshoot fiber links.
CCTV
What should I consider for a CCTV installation?+
Start with the areas you need to monitor, lighting conditions, camera positions and how long recordings must be kept. Discuss privacy and access permissions alongside coverage and equipment selection.
Can I view my cameras remotely?+
Yes, remote viewing can be set up on supported systems, subject to your internet connection and configuration.
How long can recordings be kept?+
Retention depends on the storage capacity, the number of cameras and the recording settings. We plan this with you during design.
Access control, servers and UPS
Do you install access control systems?+
Yes. We provide access control solutions for entry points, planned together with CCTV and network cabling.
Do you supply and install servers and storage?+
Yes. We supply, install and configure servers and storage to suit your requirement.
Why would I need a UPS?+
A UPS keeps equipment such as network switches, servers, recorders and computers running during short power interruptions, and gives time to shut down safely. We help size and install it.
Meeting rooms
Can you design a complete meeting room or boardroom?+
Yes. We plan the display, conferencing, audio, presentation and connectivity as one system and handle supply, installation and configuration.
Can you add video conferencing to an existing room?+
Often yes. We review the room and the equipment you already have and recommend what to add.
Computers and laptops
Can you recommend computers for my business?+
Yes. Tell us who will use them and for what, and we will recommend suitable laptops, desktops, mini PCs or workstations.
Do you upgrade existing computers?+
Yes. We can upgrade RAM and storage and reinstall and configure Windows where suitable.
Printers
Which printing solutions are available?+
We supply ink tank, laser, mono laser, colour laser, A3 and multifunction printers. Your print volume, colour needs and paper size help guide the choice.
Can you install a printer on our network?+
Yes. We install and configure network printers and set them up on user computers.
Maintenance and support
Do you offer preventive maintenance?+
Yes. We can arrange regular checks of computers, network equipment, CCTV and printers.
Can you support equipment you did not supply?+
In many cases yes. Contact us with the equipment details and the problem.
Service areas
Where do you provide services?+
We are based in Colombo and provide services throughout Sri Lanka. For projects outside the Colombo area, contact us to discuss scheduling.
Warranty and support
Is there a warranty on equipment and installation?+
Warranty terms depend on the product and the type of work, and are stated in your quotation.
Who do I contact if something stops working after installation?+
